[March 24, 2008] — inferno, a full-service advertising, marketing, design, and public relations firm, today announced its multiple wins at the Memphis Advertising Federation’s 2008 ADDY Awards, held Saturday night at the Fogelman Executive Center at the University of Memphis. inferno took home a Gold ADDY for its “One Crosstown” logo and collected another 10 Silver Awards for a variety of creative projects. Winning work was developed for a diverse set of clients including the Audubon Development Company, Eclectic Eye, FedEx, Grammy U and The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences.
“The team strives all year to set the bar high in all our work, so to receive recognition from our peers – well we love that,” said Michael Overton, agency partner and creative director. “At the end of the day, though, it’s our clients we must thank, for giving us the opportunity to create award-winning work on their behalf.”
The ADDY Awards are hosted locally by the Memphis Advertising Federation (MemphisAdFed.org) and honor creative excellence in the Memphis advertising market. The program is the industry’s largest and most representative competition, with 60,000 entries annually through a national network of 210 ad clubs and 210 college chapters. Winning work from the Memphis ADDYs will now advance to the district level and winners will be named on April 25 at a ceremony in Chattanooga, TN. The Memphis club is part of the seventh district, which includes Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Georgia.
